I think joe has different customers from greenfield. To be fair, bring to others shops in same far east building and ask for price lor. So they dont want to buy what they cannot sell, especially if they have too many of similar driver for example. Like Pawn Stars, they also must have some meat left on the bone mah. Consignment usually no problem for me though. . And knowing them, they will ask you to look for higher offer elsewhere, Which is very gentleman what.

You can sell to other Used club sellers in FESC, huh? Golf Simply & Vinc Sport also sell 2nd hand clubs. BTW, you are passing the clubs to Greenfield on consignment basis or it is a sales transaction? If it is the latter, obviously they will low ball you as they do not know when they can get rid of the clubs as storage space is considered as operating cost. Not only Greenfield, Sg largest used clubs shop like Creative Joe would do likewise.

As for Greenfield, my experience with them is as such (consignment) -

Greenfield - How much u wanna sell your Scotty Cameron?

Me - S$260

Greenfield - Hard to sell at this price as it is a phased out model although it is quite new, I suggest you sell at S$220

Me - OK

Greenfield - We will earn 10% commission from the sales, so your take home amount will be S198

A few days later, I got my friend to check how much they sell. To my astonishment, they quoted S$280 to my friend! They also added that this is the price the owner wants and hence they cannot reduce the price further.

I therefore went down to collect my putter back and sold it myself eventually ... From that day onwards, I never go thru them anymore ... I sold all the used clubs myself ...

I say, Gr marketplace or consign at Joe. Joe is a stand up guy, can consign at your own price

If decide to post here, respect the rules like the regulars do. Sell/buy in good faith. can meet new golfing kaki too

Bro... a bit unusual for Greenfield to commit a "eat-up" price over phone without looking at condition. Perhaps they were suggesting you to bring down for them to have a look first and see if the price you were asking for is do-able? Could it be just mis-communication?

Since bro turbo spoke abt this, I also encountered something like this quite some times back, one guy I would not name who, quoted me a cheaper price, I did not buy because I know this piece is quite old. So after went home consider, I went back the next day, his partner quoted me a higher price. When I asked abt yesterday price, his partner told me not possible, so I didn't buy it. Felt so inconsistent of the price. Anyway I got a better deal months later somewhere else, so now I only benchmark their price when I put online to sell.
