| Is there anyway to install the surefit adapter on a shaft I already have?
1) Heard titleist do not sell the adapters seperately?
2) Have to order shaft through titleist so that it will come with the adapter. Is it much more expensive to buy a replacement shaft through titleist?
3) Pull out stock shaft adapter, get clubfitter to install it on own shaft.. will it work?
What do you guys do when you all want to change shaft?

| Hope my answers can help. 1) Heard titleist do not sell the adapters seperately? Yes. Clubfitters use OEM adapters, not from Titleist. 2) Have to order shaft through titleist so that it will come with the adapter. Is it much more expensive to buy a replacement shaft through titleist? I suppose it depends on the price and your intention for only original version from Titleist. 3) Pull out stock shaft adapter, get clubfitter to install it on own shaft.. will it work? Yes, it can work. I have ordered shafts online and my clubfitter fixed an OEM adapter on it. Been using it and so far no problems. If there are any, your fitter should provide the fix at little or no cost. So now, I have got two shafts; full original and aftermarket with OEM adapter. I got my OEM adapter for about $80. At least, if there are any problems, I can go back to them. You could also get from Ebay which will cost cheaper, however, you wont have any form of assurance if item is faulty. | |

Definitely. Just head to the clubfitter and he will pull out the existing shaft on the adaptor and replace it. Just take note on the current settings which you play it on.
1) Heard titleist do not sell the adapters seperately?
Yup they do not. Because their adaptors are serialed. So unless you order the shaft through them, you will not be able to buy a spare adaptor through them.
2) Have to order shaft through titleist so that it will come with the adapter. Is it much more expensive to buy a replacement shaft through titleist?
I would presume that it's a little bit more expensive.
3) Pull out stock shaft adapter, get clubfitter to install it on own shaft.. will it work?
Of course it will work. Its just a shaft change. Sounds like you just started to play around with shafts. You might wanna slowly explore custom fitting of your clubs thereafter. Thats where the fun in golf is. Not exactly fun to your pockets though.
What do you guys do when you all want to change shaft?
See which shaft profile is suitable for you. You might want to test out various demo shafts at the clubfitters shop. As for titliest drivers, if you want to be constantly changing shafts or interchanging between a few favourites on differnt days, you can buy the aftermarket adaptors and have them installed on your shafts. That way, you can have a few shafts to rotate around one clubhead for variety.
Just note that some after market adaptors only work for the default setting, meaning your loft and lie angle will not change no matter what setting you tweak it to. However, some improved ones do offer adjustability which functions almost as similar to the original ones. Sometimes, there are pple selling the original adaptors on ebay, but its probaly gonna run you a good hundred bucks as compared to 40-50 on the aftermarket ones.

| thanks babycroc.
Yeah I have been exploring shafts for a while but never for shaft with these adapters, especially Titleist. All I was told by Titleist rep about changing shaft last time was - have to order new shaft from them. and they do not sell the adapters. i did as one club fitter a few months ago though - ironically i was told nothing they can do.. unless its TM then can get adapters
Well then its good, i may consider stripping the adapter from the stock shaft and installing it on others to play though!
