| Anyone has any experience?
I'm thinking of 9 holes only as my traveling partner is not a golfer.
Courses to recommend for a budget golfer where I can rent clubs and play one ball?
Also, if you know of anywhere to get discount golf stuff I'll be more than happy to explore and bring some stuff back for GR folks. Thanks in advance guys n girls.

| Mate, don't mean to be disrespectful but 'budget golfer' and 'Tokyo Golf' are two phrases that are hard to be mentioned in the same breath.
I met a Sg golfer couple of years back where he stayed in Japan for a while. Green fees, he told me, are 300 bucks upwards. I stand corrected by folks here who managed to play golf in Japan on budget, of course.
I read in a magazine before, a typical working class Japanese golfer is often resigned to driving range and goes onto the greens 4 times a year on average. That story stuck in my head because Japan has loads of wonderful golf equipment, what an irony!
There are loads of stuffs to check out in Tokyo with your partner. To spend the effort to rent clubs, travelling out of Tokyo to play 9 holes... Umm... Other bros can advice perhaps. I'm also interested to know what I read and hear is true

| No wonder the Japanese and Korean take their own sweet time to play golf 18 holes will take them more than 4 hours! Why because it cost an arm and a leg to play in Japan and Korea! | |

| Try rakuten. Online Jap stuff. Prepare to spend hours browsing there.
Physical shops in tokyo, I'd go to jypers for normal stuff.
Near shimbashi station.
It's their version of gd. Every month got specials.
High End equipment tough to find, cause they're almost boutique.
Yen getting whacked now, so not bad a time to shop.

| I will be heading to Tokyo & Hokkaido for CNY!
The Jyoers shop definitely looks like a place i have to check out. Does anyone here also know of any warehouse/factory outlets for golf apparel either around Tokyo or Hokkaido? The Japanese apparel always looks great in magazines.. i was hoping to do some golf apparel shopping, hopefully can get bargains!
As they say.. look fierce can liao!

| Hmmm jypers will have some apparel.
There's ueno market, sure to find some shops.
Cant remember the name of the station... But it's closer to akihabara than ueno kyoen.
Confirm you blur. 4 levels of golf stuff.
Per shop.
If you looking for boutique golf gear, (read expensive) you need to head to shinjuku. Any of the big department stores will take at least 2 hours of your time in the golf department. That's for guys.
Enjoy! | |

| Thanks for the recommendation mrkatsucurry!
I went to google this and this is exactly what I am looking for, good, cheap apparel with lots of choices. Not to mention the place is peppered with hawker-style yakitori and seafood!

My only grouse is that they don't have my size.
Not kidding, but their seafood dons, cannot see the rice.
