| Dear GR, I would greatly appreciate assistance on the clubs i need to get to fill in the require distances. Prefer to get TaylorMade R11s Fairway, Rescue 11, and ATV wedges, but not sure what degree... 3Wood? 4Wood? 5Wood? 4Hybird? 5Hybrid? 58* ATV wedge? 60* ATVwedge? Currently in my bag, TM R11S 10.5* driver. TM R11 4-PAS. Please advise me of what to get to fill in the gaps... | |

| To get a proper, objective answer instead of the placatory answers that you might receive on this board, you would probably need to provide us with a set of distances which you are already hitting with your clubs, instead of just telling us the numbers.
So, for example, 7 iron - 150m 8 iron - 135m etc.
Then, you can identify the distance gaps that you have, and then choose the clubs to fill in the gaps, rather than rely on some arbitrary numerical convention that the different clubmakers have assigned to their clubs to find the gap.
Many Thanks. | |

| Hi Master.
Can I can just the conventional numbers? So I won't go about trying every wood and hybrid...

| Suggest you visit TM Cathay or Golf House Paragon and demo R11 series for wood and rescues with their launch monitors. Bring your Driver, 4i and 5i to determine the ceiling and the floor yardage. the launch monitor will help you fill in the gaps. Buy from them if you appreciate this service.
You don't need any ATV wedge for now since your R11 set comes with A, S
enjoy your golf..

But you have to understand that a 7 iron to Taylormade might be a 8 iron to Nike. There is no standard. The best would still be to see the distance that you hit with every club. Unless you hit the same distance with every club. Then you most probably want to go to the WTS section. Many Thanks.

They don't need putter. They chip in every hole. Unlike you.

Please advise me of what to get to fill in the gaps... If you get a complete range of the same model, you should be able to fill the gap for your distance. I suggest you try out the woods and hybrids and see which type you can play better and more accurately. Get the ones which you can play better is the way to go.

On lah! i go try... but whats the charge for their launch monitor at TM Cathay? hi Greenteaz, no charges. they will sell you whatever club to fill whatever gap you want. now for the hard truth... you can fill your bags with all 14 clubs to fill all the gaps. But most of the time, people will only use what they are comfortable with. hearing that you do not know how far you get with each club, gives me an impression that you are new and you just trying to complete your set of golf clubs. (just like all enthusiastic beginner) My recommendation is to play first, see how you hit each distance, then decide if you indeed have a gap to fill. a lot of novice (including myself) only use the driver, 4 hybrid, and the shorter irons. without a decent swing, your 3 wood, 5 wood, 3 hybrid, 4 iron, even 5 iron... all seems to go just as far (or should i say just as short..) :p
