| Played Ponderosa last Sunday morning and the catch came off after the signature par 3 when I was driving the buggy. My golf bag fell and was being dragged for about 2-3m. The drag caused deep scratches on the base of my driver. Damn sim tia. I usually removed my driver and putter cover at the start of the game, and only put if back after the whole game. Lesson learned! From now on, must wear protection. I have also put a bungee cord in my golf bag for further protection. I need to respray the whole driver and my good buddy, Abadan, has put up solid work. First, he sand off the paint and you can see how deep the scratches are. Since got to respray, might as well do up the top surface with paint removal. Funny thing is that the surface is still black after removing the paint. Looks like some kind of treating on the surface. Taping up the other surfaces. Next he sprayed it with primer After 1st coat. Will post more pictures once I collect the final product. | |

If I wanna change driver, I will certainly go for CG Black instead of Fast 12. Like the saying goes "once you try black, you won't go back"!!!

The combination of 9064 and XCaliber seems to work well for me except that I am struggling to hit a fade which usually ended up a straight push. Maybe Fast 12 or CG Black will be lagi better? hmm....... tempting. All depends on the outcome of the final artwork.

Oi, I don't need new toy hor. Respray is considered NEW to me liao. Afterall, the driver is a fairway finder for me with the xcaliber shaft. Just not long but what the hack, I am not a long hitter anyway.

| Ok, the final product is out. If you examine closely, you should be able to see the scratches but at least it is no longer obvious. It is too deep and I don't want the head to become too heavy, thus did not spray many layers. No more white lines on the stock head. Now it is all black. Overall, it is a job well done. I tested it at the range night and felt the head a tag heavier and the sound more muted. I need to check the swing weight to see how much increase it is. Still need to play a round with it to determine if I should just get a new toy. | |

| Bro nutty88 felt the clubhead gained a lil weight. I sprayed 2 very thin coats of primer, 2 thin coats of metallic black then finished off w 2-3 layers of clear. It's abit tricky dealing w glassy clear coats. If u want it to shine or u could wet sand it with very fine sandpaper, or u've gotta spray thick enough. Maybe it was a lil too much.
One thing I noticed bout this head, the body of it deems to be some sorta treated metal. Glossy n a rainbow effect. This part originally wasn't painted. Just had some stripy graphics n probably just finished off w clear coat to prevent scratches. So maybe by spraying that part wasn't ideal. But the damage was there so no choice. I could respray it again without the primer and maybe thinner coats or black n clear.
