U already have a 52 deg why have another GAP wedge in your 5-S. Its redundant.

We are only allowed 14 clubs in the bag as far as the rules are concerned.

So you have P(45/46), A(49), 52, S(56), 60 !!!

I would choose between the 49 and 52

take out the A(49) and bent the 52 to 51.

check your S(56) is really 56, maybe 55 or 57 you never know.

What I meant was to have the loft checked on a loft/lie adjusting machine. The manufacturer could state a specific loft and lie but maybe out by a degree or so. Happen to my callaway and nickent wedges.

Leisure golfer then just carry as many clubs are u are comfortable with. I don't think any of ur kakis are going to ask the course marshals to remove u because u have one club too many.

I think good idea to check. Usually mass manufactured clubs should have spme discrepancies. I took my 10.5 driver to check and it was 12.2! What a Face

Hmm I'm not sure that IS the (correct) advice really.

In competitions be it your monthly medals or charity competition, nothing more than 14

In your weekly 4 balls with your kakis, if ya gonna submit score card for handicap maintenance, nothing more than 14 clubs in the bag

If I just bought a new driver and want to try out on course, but wanna retain the old driver in the bag just in case the new one may not work out, then I will take out a club (eg a wedge, a wood or iron) from my bag such that it is no more than 14

Dont wanna sound pedantic here but Rules of golf says nothing more than 14. And i stand corrected but there is one rule that if you and your playing partners agree not to play golf according to the Rules of Golf, eg having 15 clubs in the bag, that decision by itself, is against the rules...

Why do you need to carry more? The more it is The more headaches you get trying to figure what to use. These days. I am down to 12.

Drv, 3W, 5W, 4H, 5-pw, 56W, Putter.

Bag to heavy and plus I couldn't be bothered to carry more.

Traits of a Lazy golfer...Razz

From a course management point of view, I think more clubs is more harm than good because it complicates our thought process. I mean, we want to play what we have in bag and not try to do shots that is too much beyond our own skill set.

Leran to play with 15 when your golf kari do not mind. Very soon, you will not able to play with 14 clubs when the rule of golf called for when you in a tournament. Example: monthly metal .. Etc.

I will be the 1st that complain to the tournament management that you have 15 club in your bag after you have tee off (of course) lol!

Dann... I only have 12 clubs in my bag.. Now I know why u guys keep winning my mu$a..

I get confused if there are too many clubs....

Started with one 7iron. Then two with the putter. Then three...

So proud to make it 12 now !! cheers

Anyways..... Steven. 12 or 20... Most important thing is to know how you use each club... I'll be confused if I have 4 wedges in the bag. And are you handling the 5 iron better or the hybrid?

cheers

While u have 12, I have 13 clubs in my bag with the 5i taken out. My play now is that I choke down 1 inch on my 4Hy to hit an equivalent shot. So far its working better for me.

With regards to wedges I think its personal, I use my 50,54 and 58 quite often and somewhat similar frequency of usage between the 3.

But yeah, I do agree with u that u need to understand and know how to use every single club in my bag.
