I would very much appreciate the honour of playing with all of you.

However, given the large disparity in the contributions to our fine country (by way of income tax) that you gentlemen make compared to my humble self, could you find it in your hearts to limit the wagers to something that an ordinary person like myself can afford?

I realise it is presumptuous of me to request that you reduce your level of excitement for my sake, but I can promise good companionship, humour and a lot of alcohol.

Actually since the government has paid me for the use of my ping pongs (by having two children).....i'm hardly paying any income tax this year.....

however, i have been forced to make a provision for Golf-related losses....i think it has exceeded my prior year's income tax contribution.......
