Birdman,
If I point out threads that do not fit "greater good", would you lock them? Not doing housekeeping, just the latest topics list will do. Ok?

Why lock threads when there is nothing wrong. Because thread is messy?????
this is so arbitrary!

SamT,
Rather than take the roundabout route of pointing out to me what does or does not constitute the 'greater good', would you like to volunteer to be course marshall? Join our ranks so that you also can lock threads as you deem fit? Fun right?
Golf Republic is always short of volunteers, since they don't get paid and yet have to help organise events, spending much time and effort to monitor the forum, begging for sponsorship, and lots of times spending out of their own pocket so that golfers of all levels in Singapore can come together for a day of fun and camrederie.
Now that I've layed down all that's involved for a volunteer, please don't be discouraged. There is still the best part of being a volunteer, getting to lock threads any time you want to!
So, SamT, game to be a volunteer? We would really appreciate the help.
ps, this will be my last post on this thread, unless your answer is yes.

Sure. Revert whenever you ready.
Now back to the question of "greater good"... I must still follow up. What is it?

Birdman,
It's ok. You asked me, I just play along. To be or not to be was never the point. The intent had been achieved.

Then I guess I was wrong with my nomination and the others were right. How can anyhow be moderator, especially if you are just playing along and not sincere.
Tsk Tsk SamT.
I guess then you really don't understand the meaning of the 'greater good'.

Since when do we enjoy residing in a badly kept household with poor housekeeping......
I have always believed that the mods are doing a great job with this forum at the expense of their own time. I do not think any greater good is going to surface with mod changes.....
