Mizuno JPX800HD or AD or XD? Empty
PostSubject: Mizuno JPX800HD or AD or XD?   Mizuno JPX800HD or AD or XD? I_icon_minitimeWed Sep 05, 2012 4:54 pm

Newbie to golf asking some pointers relating toabove mizuno irons. Appreciate comments to help me with my choice and knowledge.
1. what is the difference between the HD, AD and XD? They are all JPX800 correct?

2. saw a HD set comprising 4-p. 4 & 5 are the DLR (hybrid/ bigger heads) type. 6-p are the normal cavity heads. saw same serial numbers at the neck of the clubhead on all clubs. fitted with grafalloy prolaunch shaft and golf pride grips. how can i ascertain if set is genuine as i'm very keen to buy. would this be a US/Europe specs?

3. golf house only sells JPX800HD irons comprising 3-S. No DLRs. Are they the Japanese specs? I did notice there weren't any serial number on the cluheads though. i'd assume they are genuine since they are being sold by GH? when asked, they don't seem to know that the set can come with 4 & 5 DLR clubs.

can anyone shed any light? many, many thanks!

Bro, with my limited knowledge, I can only direct you to golfwrx for the review.

But I using the regular jpx 800 9-5P,G,S. A nice set to play with. Heard that the HD is better as the 5 & 6 are somewhere like hybrid.

HD - High Distance
JPX-800HD (High Distance) super game improvement iron set. This new iron set utilizes our distance generating JPX technologies of Hot Metal and MAX COR to deliver the explosive distance that all players crave. Maximum forgiveness and an easy, high launch and ball flight are achieved through an innovative set make up which includes Mizuno's new Hybrid DLR (Direct Long iron Replacement), the JPX FLI-HI, in the #4 and #5. (from mizuno US)

AD and XD are Japanese spec.. not found on Mizuno US or Europe site.

The short answer is buy from legitimate source, authorized distributors etc.

Short of sending to a trained club fitter or to the original agents, visual inspection on by an untrained person will be tough to know the difference.
