PostSubject: Hydrids = mizuno MX FLi Hi and MX 700   Hydrids = mizuno MX FLi Hi and MX 700 I_icon_minitimeWed Oct 21, 2009 8:03 am

Hi folks,

I own a mizuno 4 hybrid MX FLi Hi. Can hit it very well. been looking for the same model of 3 hybrid. bt cannot find it locally of overseas.

Recently i chance into the MX 700. same shaft but heavier. There is a discount now.

I hope to own a set of 3 and 4 hybrids of the same brand and specs.

Does anyone know or have input on the 2 models?

Thanks

I haven't tried the mizzy hybrid but from what I've read, the MX-700 hybrid goes far, is forgiving and easy to use, i.e. one of the better hybrids in the market.

Have you, by any chance, tried the Cleveland Launcher hybrid? They're pretty good too Smile

haha i'm using the cleveland launcher hybrid and i like them a lot too!

i've read reviews from both hybrids and they both did well. but i'm not sure how they'd compare with head-to-head. but if you'd like to maintain some consistency then stick with the fli hi? haha

would love to stick with fli hi, but cant find the 3 hybrid. i need 3 more than 4.

perhaps i pair it with the Mx700.

How bout the 909H? compared to the mx700 and cleveland?

Looking for Hybrids? Me too!
I have been trying out a few Hybrids.

A4 = Very easy to launch (big head)
A3 = I don't hit well
909h = Easy to launch (small head)
Ping G10 = I love it best!!! Very easy to launch and straight for me.

Conclusion, try out Ping Hybrid & A4. Very Happy

Hi andrew,

if you don't mind 'lowly' brands, I'd recommend the TourEdge Exotic GeoMax XCG. It pretty affordable at below S$200 and super easy to use. High launch, good dist and straight... Even my mum can use it with ease. NOT KIDDING... my mum who golfs only 1 every few months tried it recently on the course w/o practice and boomz-ed it every single time she hit it. Amazing...

In conclusion, it's really easy to use, especially cos the length is shorter (perhaps about a 5iron or less?) - making it esy to control plus get good contact.

BTW, I've tried a few hybrids (TM - 3 or 4 models new and old, Bridgestone) as a comparison and found this the easiest to play.

Just my 2cts....

I've seen them at Taka.

And, popularity doesn't necessarily mean a good club for you. Believe you me, I know .o0(R9)

This one I completly agree with you. HAve tried a few TM rescues / hybrids with different shafts and cant hit it for nuts.....Maybe TM and me no fate...looks like Callaway / Mizuno or MIURA (If I strike TOTO) for me....

Recently bought 2 Adams hybrid for purpose of reducing my score.... Razz

Got the old model A3 which past reviews conclude quite good....(very little reviews avail for newer model)

Tested my new collection to see if it is better than my Cleveland hybrid which I love a lot.....
Guess what ????????????? I immediately fell in love with them so much that I need I will need to let go of my Cleveland hybrid...

The Adam hybrids with 65g Grafalloy shafts are really super duper easy to hit.. I thought I might have a problem with its larger head but I was dead wrong. When I started to hit with the 25deg hybrid, it was effortless though ball flight was a tad high but still managed to get me to to 150m.

Hesitated a bit when hitting the 19deg hybrid as think it might not be easy to hit one without any practice. It suprised me when I hit it and it was just too forgiving that my first not-so-good shot can still land at 150m. So adjust my stance a bit to accomodate the longer shaft and give it a good whack ---------- > this time much longer distance and perfect shot with a good "ping'.

Overall, very forgiving to use and I guess it will give me much confidence and reliability on the rough and green. My 2 thumbs up so far....

Hillgreen,

so your 25 degree is a 4 and the 19 is a 3?

Should be a 3 and 5 respectively..

I used to think that having a 22deg, i can choke down to act as a 25deg and choke up to act like a 20deg. It does help but no easy to control have the desired distance. So I change strategy to have a 19 and 25 deg ..

I had used few TM hybrids before, I do not really like the feel as the head is rather heavy and mostly they are fitted with super light shafts of 50 to 55 grams.

Coincidently, I also own a FLi Hi hybrid . It actually behave more like an iron rather than in between iron and wood (which I am looking for)...
