| The Unstoppable Golfer Since my last thread was hijacked by Kung Fu masters... here's a restart: Chapter 4: Neuroscience The winning athele relies on subconcious memory... how can this be achieved, by ensuring that your muscles remember what you are supposed to do. this is called "muscle Memory" If we employ our concious mind to gain control... often ... our execution will go awry... so build into our body muscle memory... of the right routine and swing! Happy golfing! | |

| The unstoppable golfer Chapter 5: Trying Soft and Slacking on (surrender) Avoid being too careful and trying too hard. We have to get out of our own way. Avoid being controlled by your conscious mind, and let your sub-conscious mind take over. That's where your muscle memory comes in. This is especially hard for intelligent people to execute. They think too much and can't let go. One way of getting out of your own way is throwing away expectations. Heheheh I would think I must be too intelligent for my own good then | |

| Would be correct then to say one needs to "feel" and be more intuitive/ affective about the game rather than remaining cognitively intellectual about what was taught and behaviourly modified by swing coaches/ fitters etc? the coming together of all the learning in one swing... ur style! | |

Chapter 6: Routine Your Wingman
How many of us really have a routine that we abide by on the course?
Routine fends off the dangers of doubt, fear and distractions. Routine promotes consistency. Routine offers an answer to the question:"I'm so nervous, what am I going to do?"
Routine is not about taking a prescribed number of pre-shot swing... its about building on what helps you personnally to concentrate on the shot.
Whats your pre-shot routine?
1. Pippin: See Ball whack!! grrr....

| The unstoppable golfer Chapter 7: See it and Roll it The fastest way to improve your score is to improve your putting... (Duh??) Alot of putting talking is confusing... It is absolutely essential that a player sess the ball going into the hole and putts decisively. It is absolutely essential for a player to have a sound consistent putting routine. good golfers believe that if they made the putt in their minds and honoured their process, that's a successful putt | |
