I am basing my comments on the fact that you said yu are 'very beginner'

I think MBGC does not allow 9 holes on sundays. Also, i think HCP is required. If not you got to do a swing test which cost $10.

I wouldnt advise MBGC or SG courses for a very beginner player, simply because marshalls will follow you like a hawk the moment they sense that you are taking too long and holding up play. I would advise you to go Batam or JB.

I am a beginner as well. If you have a PC from recognised SGA academy MBGC allow you to play on weekdays. But as Jeffman said it is not adviseable to play at MBGC unless your swings are consistent and a flight can complete each hole within or less than 20 mins otherwise the marshall will trail you like a hawk.
I had pretty bad experience when teaming up with two other kakis who are also beginners, we had to skip a hole and reduce a some putt shoots to make it in time. Still we took more than 5 hours to complete 18 holes.
