| Just some gastronomical argument... I won't queue for hours just for burgers:
Carl's Jr vs In-N-Out | |

The Traditional Fast Food Set is Burger, Fries and Milkshakes.
I wondered what has happened to that....

| Having lived in SFO, I've had my fair share of In-N-Out burgers. Yes, they're good but I don't think they're worth the hype. Carl's Jr. gives you pretty good burgers too.
I also think that the quality of burgers depends on the raw materials. It's easy to produce great food in the US where the meat, bread, sauces, garnishing etc. are all good. But here, it may be a bit tricky.
I'm not dissin' In-N-Out. Rather, I'm just saying that there are just as good options out there and if I had to queue for an In-N-Out burger, I would only do so if I had a massive craving and if not, I'd just pass and eat something else instead.

Agreed!!! Nothing special about In&Out Burgers... The fries suck... only have like 2-3 different kinds of burgers!!! I rather Carl's Jr or McD's!!!

| How about burgers around Singapore? Which is good? I am still searching for my perfect burger in Singapore.
Some mentionables from me...
Botak Jones is just not the same as before... so that is out.
Burger Shack (by island creamery) is not bad, but just feel that it still does not have enough taste to make the cut.
So far, the best that I had is at Relish by wild rocket. Thats on 2nd floor, Cluny court.
The only other place that I have yet is Spruce. I am still looking for places to satisfy my craving for burgers whenever I get it locally.
Bergs is now on my list as well...

Relish is not bad but not the quessential american burger. Bergs also good but i couldn't remember how good weeks after (so its good but not spectacular) Spruce at Tanglin also very decent (maybe even better than the above) but I cant differentiate with other cafe's interestingly the best tasting burger I've had in Singapore is also in Cluny Court. At De Paolo Bistro. I can still remember how it tasted and that to me is a burger worth going for.

I rather Carl's Jr or McD's!!! awwww come one guys...McDs? Pink slime dry meat McDs? Techno has a good point tho, recreating Nor Cal taste here is where the crux is. I go SF for work every year and made sure to dapao both InNOut and Five Guys. I like both, well maybe a preference towards Five Guys, but animal style works for me too! no need to queue la, wait till dust settle down

no need to queue la, wait till dust settle down I quite like the burgers at Brewerkz too. Simple, no fuss. But for all it's worth, Carl's Jr. takes my vote for simplicity, ease of access and the lasting "oh, that was good" feeling in Singapore.
