| No worries Crystal, my pleasure.
Yah Techno, I remember playing Sembawang, the members move fast when the lightning warning goes off. The jazz musician Jeremy Monteiro's uncle died while playing there from an indirect strike. Apparently lightning struck the ground, ran through an underground cable, up the trolley he was pulling, burning his hand in the process.

| Yeah, I know of that incident.
Closer to home, my in-laws' very good friend was almost killed while playing in JB (dunno which course). It was a flight of 4 golfers - lightning struck the ground. In the blink of an eye, 2 were killed, 2 were in coma for a short period. He was in coma and came out of it the fastest.
I wouldn't know what to say or do if I lost my friends in a golf game like this. Traumatizing forever.

There are always aspiring HEROssss......just like Jay-walking or new parents which try to cross the road with a pram...BUT I'm not sure if it is smart or just plain stupid...becos parent cross first with the pram sticking out...maybe to 'test water'

Good point, CT. No need to play when it rains heavily. But some golfers just want to finish the game. It'll be something like this: Golfer A: Wah... raining already. Golfer B: Yeah... better go back. Got lightning bro. Golfer A: Little bit... let's finish the last 3 holes. Golfer B: Are you sure??? Your umbrella is crap... how come got Hello Kitty logos on it? Golfer A: Don't diss Hello Kitty!! Golfer B: Aiyah... faster play. faster play'lah! Golfer A: Wait... I'm taking my putt... hold the umbrella for me! Golfer B: What the heck? Your putter grip is pink? Bro... you is ta po or cha bo? Golfer A: Shuddup!! Golfer B: I can hear thunder bro... I can see lightn.... *KAAAABBBOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!!* Golfer A: Eh... bro, hold the umbrella'lah... I'm getting wet here. Bro... bro... where are you? Golfer B: Chao tah already

| Hahahaha... Nice One!
Not sure if there's any truth to it, but they say you can tell if lightning is going to strike cos of the static electricity, Ur hair will stand. And when you feel that, go prone, entirely flat on the ground cos lightning always strikes the highest point.

I think most clubs will give you a raincheck if the course is closed due to the heavy downpour. It also depends how far you are into the game. I played at MBGC last month. Rained like siao midway and MBGC closed the course. Finished 9 holes and was given a raincheck for the remaining 9 holes.
