Montgomerie Links Course in Danang, Vietnam

Hi all,

Wanted to share some pics of one of my favorite courses in Vietnam. Was stationed there for two years and had the chance to play quite a few of the courses in Central and Northern Vietnam. The Montgomerie Links course in Danang is definitely one of my favorites

Yeah, too bad I wasn't good enough to really appreciate it...

Any recommendation for Hanoi? Will be going for business trip, hoping there is enough time for a game there.

There are many good golf courses in North Vietnam. The nearest should be Royal Golf course. The others would be Dai Lai and Tam Dao. Must play would be King Island Golf Course. On some day there are promotion around US$50 to 80. Otherwise it would be Expensive. You need help to get transport to the golf courses. Cheers and enjoy. One of the most challenging golf course would be Chi Linh.

Sorry Teegem, I'm now stationed back in Singapore. The wife issued an order for me to return in 2010 because she thought that I might be having too much fun there! Anyway, looks like you know the golf courses in around Hanoi quite well Personally I like the Dai Lai course because good value and relatively close to Hanoi.

Hey bro Sean76, if you are going there on business trip perhaps you can try out Van Tri Golf Club? It's quite exclusive and a little pricey but the course and club house there are very well-maintained and most importantly it's one of the nearest to Hanoi. I cannot remember if non-members are allowed to book flights but maybe if you play weekday they will allow or maybe if you have VN partner they can get you in. If time is a constraint then Dai Lai is a good alternative. Hanoi Golf Club is also near but might be not be enough of a challenge to be fun

No Van Tri is an exclusive member only club and you cant get in unless a member arrange for u. Cheers. It is indeed the nearest to the city. Cheers.

Wah Winston, although I love your Montgomerie Links pics, your non-golf related pics (avatar + signature) are super and even more distracting!!

Montgomerie is good but I personally prefer Danang Golf Club

Wah dunno leh, all seem so fair-skinned. If have to hazard a guess I would say maybe the first one from the left?

I also played at the Danang Golf Course but I found it really tough coz it's designed like some kind of desert course right and the "rough" is actually like shallow sand traps...nightmare... haha but eh...one redeeming fact - the caddies there seem prettier at least those on duty when my group went to play...

That is the reason why I like Danang Golf. It is more challenging. As for caddies....

THe golf course mentioned here is not in HAnoi. It is in central vietnam. In the seaside city of Danang
