uniflex

what is the difference between a shaft defined as uniflex and a stiff or regular shaft? What advantages or disadvantages?

I'm using a Game Improvement set.

comes with Uniflex shaft.

I guess you can say that it is a flex between Stiff and Regular.
What i understand from research is that it is a flex point whr manufacturers can provide 1 flex for more users to save cost and inventory. rather than hold sets for R and S.

Ad and Dis.

Regular: Suits users with lower swing speed. More flexible to absorp shock and increase distance due to whipping effect.

Stiff: Higher feedback for more control over ball striking. Usually needs higher swing speed to effectively hit the ball.

A uniflex shaft , if you filter out all the marketing hype, is simply S/R or Firm flex shaft, i.e. between Regular and Stiff. This way the OEM tries to target a larger market segment ... Cheers

apart from the shaft flex, do also check the weight of the shaft. uniflex shafts (eg. of Callaway) tend to be heavier than say NSpro 950 shafts

Oic. i just bought burner uniflex irons from GD. Staff told me these are KBS 85g shaft.
