I thought it would be better if the games could be grouped by the player standards. For example, a beginner/amateur section, a <10handicap games and similar.

I was trying to find a beginner game and am lost and dont want to bug serious players by joining in a high level game.

Cool

Your suggestion is a good one but it's not necessary.

What you can do is to say that you're willing to play in a game and explain that you're new or learning. You'll be surprised how quick people here are to accommodate any level of golfer.* GRians are very casual and you can join in any game, regardless of standard.*

*The caveat - don't say you can't play and then produce a low 80 score. That wrecks your reputation and word travels fast.

Who, oddly enough, claims to play to a 24.

So, I wonder how long that would last Smile

FOREVER.

It has been some years since BVA is formed. One of the 'B's actually quite golf and came back not so recently...

What to do? She says it's sga certified, so it has to be true. I think the people in sga must have been drunk.

We. Just. Never. Learn.

Major conspiracy between the BVA chairman and the buayees...else no growth in membership.

You have to have an initiation game with them, giving them 7-7 minimum.
After that buy beer on a monthly basis on the chosen location. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Last one we had was at hooters...

You mean strokes. Subscription strokes (not fees).

Heard that it is a membership of no return...

Maybe should try for term membership... at least can safeguard the wallet.

Stroke subscription makes no difference for me... play level, give 9-9 or give 18-18.... all same result.... I LOSE... so I think it is the same as paid subscription.

If the opportunity comes and the stakes are small, maybe I will give the BVA 36-36 (or more) since my wallet will go on a diet after that irregardless of the level of stroking... then at least will get the title "Dummy who has given the most strokes to BVA" Wink
