lets wait and see. Recent Yaw case is also an eye-opener. Mr. Ong here is just not learning. Maybe he should step away from Obiang Oakleys. Just like me.

Mr. Ong here is just not learning. Maybe he should step away from Obiang Oakleys. Just like me. Could be the dark shade that cause it.... ha ha, but on a serious note, once you are in trouble, simi connection also no use(all will distant away). I doubt he has any "connection" !

| Potential excuses:
1. My coach tot me to focus on my bowling...to take down all things.....so I took it abit to the extreme even when driving
2. I am a lover of dogs....how could I have done such thing?
3. Why didnt anybody tell me when I was about to sped off?
4. My the other dog in my house needed attention...so how? which should I choose?

| LOL how unlucky....he speed like everybody else but hit a dog. Hit must stop lar, the least call someone for help...its not like Malaysia if u stop sure kena beaten until death....not many will blame him for hitting but everybody will blame him for his non actions and his 'explanation'.
for all driver that never hit an animal before....they can be quite dangerous..some will run across right in front of the car...like they panic and decide to run across at the last minute. In Australia, go a few friends that run over their own dogs, just moving out of the garage. Our dog also, must lock inside.

| Remy Ong It was a long and sad day yesterday;( an unfortunate accident happened and a dog died . I am so saddened by this . Being a pet lover myself, Nothing can describe the feeling I experienced when I found out that a dog has died n its because of me. As I waited there with the help from many kind hearted people for SPCA to come to the scene and shortly after the dog was taken away, I felt so remorsef...ul that I could not do more. I dun blame the people online for scolding me n accusing me cause the actual fact is that I did hit a dog.
Did jus send an email to SPCA n waiting to find out from them if there is anything I could do to make up to it. I am truly sorry about what had happened n am willing to take full resposiblilty of the whole incident. ;(

SPCA? Actually, you should first check to see if the animal is alive. If the animal is, then do something. It's not so much that he hit the dog but that he did so in a reckless manner and wasn't even bothered to find out if the dog was dead or alive. Hitting animals on the road is an unfortunate thing... it's not always the driver's fault. But when the driver does nothing and leaves the dying dog to its bitter end, that's when the driver should be punished.

| For those who are unconvinced, what if it was a small child? Can he just say that I thought the child ran under the car? At that speed, he may have hit anything and while it's sad that it was a dog, it could have been worse.

| I thought its not right to call the SPCA. I dun think they have an emergency ambulance service of any sort. SPCA was called here because it was cruelty to animal and it was reported. | |

| Actually good qustions asked. Many of us direct anger and hate to a specific incident. but when nrafee asked this question, i was thinking, yeah who to called? Police? or SPCA? The law did not state you have committed a crime if you hit and run an ANIMAL. I guess the reason being here is speeding or reckless driving, and if evidence or eye witness can be produced. Think... if the culprit is not a celebrity status, will he/she generate so much hyed among the community? I only can think of inhumane, where he should stopped, cover the dead dog with something and call the animal casket. | |

You wanna go check your law books again? There's a fine (and possibly jail term) for ANY hit and run. Doesn't matter if the victim is human or animal..

[/quote] Ahh ok, it might be vague, but in this case, he might get away with just a fine, most possiblility. But my question is, what most of us will do if this incident happens to us.

| Perhaps most of us might be more careful and not drive too fast in a car park that other human beings, animals and little children walk around in? | |
