| does anyone feel that heavier wedge is more accurate than lighter wedge? i have 2 wedges, tourstage VIQ and cleveland CG15. the VIQ is the heavier one. i like the swing of my cleveland because its lighter but somehow it just cant beat the accuracy of the VIQ. | |

| i think that wedges are very much like putters in that feel is personal to each golfer. that said, heavier heads generally give better feel.
of course i'm assuming that when u say heavier wedge, u'r referring to a heavier head, rather than heavier due to shaft weight. | |

| yes. heavier head. lighter wedge is nicer to swing but accuracy wise isnt that good. i tend to overhit. | |

| Its also important to consider the shaft, this tend to be overlooked most of the time. | |

| Everything depends on your preference.
When you pverhit or gp beyond the distance.
then it means you should practice more on your "control shot"
This is why I practice my wedge shot....the LAST.
when your arms & shoulder are tried... its best you practice the 10,15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 to 59 yards shot.
for example, if you must hit a 50yard shot. You must hit a 40yard shot or 45 yard shot.
Now the shaft weight is dependent on your preference.
The heaviest club usually ends on our Sandwedge or Lob Wedge.
Becoz you used the gravity of the club head to hit the shot. When you hit the sweet spot. The ball will just "Pop up" due to gravity of the weight.
The shaft weight is usually between D6 to D9
our approach wedge is usually between D2 to D4
