Mizuno Clubs Empty
PostSubject: Mizuno Clubs   Mizuno Clubs I_icon_minitimeFri Dec 16, 2011 2:34 pm

Bought a set of Mizuno irons from a authorise Mizuno dealer in Singapore. However, within two weeks ( 3 rounds of golf and 3 range session), the Mizuno iron heads started showing signs of rust. Decided to bring the set of irons back to the dealer, the dealer was very helpful and understanding and has offered to bring up this issue with Mizuno Singapore.

Would like to check anyone facing the same problem with recently bought Mizuno irons ?

Thanks

has never faced this problem before

for iron heads to rust, you must :

1. not clean it after many games after a rainy wet round.. meaning u dun take care of em
2. never play em for a long long time.. still the shafts will rust first.. not the heads..
3. Faulty construction..

i have own many sets of mizzys before... never such problem...

I took great care of them. New set of irons..... i even read the post on GR about how to care for your clubs Sad WD-40, toothbrush Smile but still rust....

I played 3 rounds of golf. Yes the course was moist.. morning game.. but definitely treat it well however it still rust Sad

Just wondering if anyone who bought the clubs recently face the same problem..

I had a refurbished MP-52.....I seldom hit fm watery places...and I think thats the reason why mine is non-rust. Plus of coz, I apply anti-rust cream on them everytime after game....and that is also very few ....

all these help to protect my 52 fm rust

I bought a MP57 brand new few years back and there were few tiny spots of rust on the face not long after purchase. I think it happens when you hit certain stones or pebble or hit from bunkers (and the sand is stoney), so it may create tiny nicks where the inner steel is exposed. Mizuno is supposed to use soft steel rite.

two saturdays ago, I played a round under rain and I was in the bunker many times. By the time I reach home, my fourteen wedge had tiny spots of rust on the face! It was less than 2 hours from the time I finish the round.

so far my MX 200 and now my JPX does not rust. Just cover with iron cover after hitting and never clean it or protect with anti rust cream, WD40, etc.
I use to have a cobra wedge that I left in the store room for more than a year and when I took it out the rust was flaking off the head.Threw it away.
