2012 Golf New Year resolution !

i have set a few targets to achieve this year!

- try to break 80 a few more times
- score at least 1 birdie per 18 holes
- spend more time in the range
- at least 15mins on putting matt everyday
- go fit my clubs
- spend more money on equipments
- be able to play level with Ryan Lee
- and lastly no more 5-5 for mloy

I will just go with the last one of yours.

As being an ex-Bad Boy, its very disappointing that I have yet to get a win under my belt. 2 game = 2 loses.

This year , under a new mgmt and branding 'Boys 2 Men', I hope to get at least one win

Secondly, to ensure that I continue to chalk up at least one game every 6 weeks

I just hope to win more massages....

I wish to earn more massages from chippy and willy!

Break 80 both score and weight and either improve or at least stay there specially for the body weight.

1. Break 100, play 90s consistently
2. 5 par per game consistently
3. not more than double bogey on bad holes
4. take up more golf lesson
5. get my son to start on golf

1. To average no more than 36 putts a round.
2. To get better at 30-70m pitch shots. Goal: Ball rest <7 paces from the hole.

1. Improve ironplay. Accuracy is a must.
2. Improve wedgeplay. Confidence is key.
3. Improve putting. Just moved to semi-mallet. Time to get comfortable and confident.
4. Driver - sigh...

Perhaps, it's time to get a coach.

1. to be able to hit the ball when swinging irons..
2. to break 100 at least half of the time
3. to play less and lose less bets....
4. to improve stroke-taking negotiation skills (must learn from mloy).

Goals achieved during 2011

1. Played 20% of games below 100.
2. Reduced strokes from up to 5-5 from regular kakis to playing level now.
3. Driving average more than 210m.
4. Reduced handicap from 24 to 20.
5. Improved short game within 50m.

Goals targeted for 2012.

1. Make more putts within 10 feet. Average less than 36 putts per round.
2. Drive longer than average distance of 220m consistently
3. Hit at least 40% of irons from 150-170m range to within 30 feet from pin.
4. Play better from sand.
5. Further improve short game within 50m and land more shots within 10 feet.
6. In turn give strokes to my regular kakis of whom I have taken strokes from in 2011.
7. Reduce personal handicap to a further 5 strokes.

- no more than 20 duff/topped shots per round
- no more than 10 skulled putts per round
- no more than 5 three/four-putts per round
- no more than 3 OBs from drives

Goals achieved during 2011

1. Played best of 82..
2. lost 106 point in 'Vegas'
3. Change my iron set to graphite.
4. Change driver.


Wish and hope to achieve...

1. Break 80.
2. More consistent on my iron shot, chipping and putting.
3. improve driving distance for another 20m

to stop buying so much golf crap...

and to break 80 50% of the time...

Golf goals achieved in 2011.
1) Play lousy but enjoy more
2) Not killing kaki/marshal/anyone with my sprayed shots
3) Hit less than 2 golfers on errand shots

Golf goals for 2012.
1) continue to play lousy golf
2) continue to avoid killing my kakis
3) try not to hit anyone with my errand shots
4) Get a full set of Honma irons, woods, driver even though there is nothing wrong with my current set
5) Stop dreaming abt (4)
