Chinese New Year in Singapore

Hey Everyone,

For a tourist who plans to goto Singapore for Chinese New Year.

Is it true that most shops "close" for CNY celebration?

Or they are Open for CNY sale?

May I know what are the activities nowadays or Outlook for a CNY vacation in your country?

Lastly, is the CNY sale bigger than the Christmas/ Year End Sale?

Most shopping malls are still open, but I think personally it's not a good idea to go here during CNY. If you go to the heartlands, most of the eateries will be closed, so lots of ppl may flock to the major shopping malls.

CNY sale, not as good as Great singapore sale....
