| Did anyone watch Friday's round when Bjorn Borg hit his second shot at a lamp post in Hole 18? I never knew that local rules in Sentosa says you must replay the shot, with no penalty. He was penalised for playing his 3rd shot from where the ball ricochet to after hiiting the lamp post. | |

I thought Bjorn Borg played tennis...... it is common rule, if you hit light pole you get to replay stroke. I didn't know that. Have hit many lamp posts in the past (MBGC) and just carry on playing from where it dropped.

He could see the green and the light post was not obstructing his view or his swing. He just happened to hit it. In golf rules, if you hit overhead power lines, and pylons, you get to replay. I didn't know that lamp post is also included. | |
