| *** CUT & PASTE FROM WIZGOLF EMAIL ***
Greetings to all participants,
Thank you for your support! To help ease all out tension and uncertainty faced whenever we participate in an event, I have prepared the following simple event brief. Do contact me should you require any other clarifications by Thursday (25 Nov) to allow me time to look into it.
Game Format This event will be on a timesheet tee off and we have taken in all your feedback/concerns over the chances of winning so we have decided to adopt the fairest scoring system to allow everyone a chance to win, even if it is all by luck, so be prepared for the Double Peoria Stableford format in accordance with rules of golf as approved by R&A, USGA and local rules of Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC). Blind holes will be determined by the Club so you know who to go after!! Other regulations that we seek your attention to include the following:
- Men shall tee off from the white tees and Ladies from the red tees. - All competitors are requested to register at least 30 minutes before your starting times. - All competitors shall report and be stationed at their respective T-boxes at least 10 minutes before the tee off time. - If the player arrives at the tee box, ready to play, within five minutes after his tee time, the penalty to start on time is loss of two strokes on the first hole instead of disqualification. - Play shall commence as per stated tee off time. - In the interest of all players in the tournament, please ensure that your flight is able to keep up with the preceding flight. The tournament committee together with TMCC officials reserves the right to make suggestions to players and their flights to speed up play. - To speed up play, putts less than putter-length shall be considered as a “Gimme” but please remember to add one stroke to your score for the “Gimme”. - Please repair all divots, repair pitch marks and rake bunkers. - Please observe all local rules. - Please submit your GROSS score only and score cards must be completed with signatures of the marker and player and returned to the Score Card Return Counter immediately upon completion of the round. - In the event of ties, the USGA Countback System shall apply. - We would also like to seek your understanding that Wiz Golf shall not be held liable for any claims relating to damages, injuries and loss of belongings or life during the course of the event.
Prizes Tournament trophy and Prizes will be awarded to the Top Three Individual winners.
Unfortunately after reviewing the participants list, we are not able to secure anyone to provide us with a nice Hole in One prize as all their comments are the same and are along the line that “This group of players are all good players and thus better not put anything up as it will definitely be won.” I wonder whose name(s) did they see that will cause this reaction amongst them.
Participants who are present during dinner are eligible for lucky draw prizes. Absent winner shall be declared null and void, and a new winner shall be drawn.
Programme It will be a simple event with extraordinary crowd so we will try to follow the below schedule closely. 11.30am – Registration & Lunch 12.30pm – Double Barrel Tee Off 7pm – Dinner 8pm – Prize Presentation & Lucky Draw 9pm – Home Sweet Home
Food We will be celebrating Christmas early so the lunch and dinner will be served with that in mind. Should you have any special dietary requirements, do let me know by Fri (26 Nov) so that arrangements can be made. We know that the lunch will be sumptuous and thus did not cater for any other snacks/refreshments that you may require throughout your game. Should you require any other snacks/refreshments, you will probably need to win it off your flight mates should you forget to bring your wallet.
Wet Weather Programme None, so we need all the help we can gather to put in our requests for good weather!! But in the event of delay due to wet weather, we will work with the Club to let us tee off when it is safe for us to do so as there will not be any rain checks issued.
So, pls pls pls help in your special and unique ways to help us have a wizzy good time out there!!
See you all on 29 November 2011!
Melvin Cheng For & on behalf of Wiz Golf

| I cut and paste from google
FORMAT OF PLAY "DOUBLE PEORIA STABLEFORD"
Peoria (Stableford) This is similar to “Stableford” except that the players do not play off their declared course handicaps. Instead, course handicaps are computed by GEMS based on gross strokes taken by players for some “Secret” holes selected by organizer. These holes are known only the organizer and not the players.
Generally, for “Single Peoria”, six (6) “Blind” or “Secret” holes are selected. For “Double Peoria”, twelve (12) “Blind” or “Secret” holes are selected.
GEMS will compute course handicaps for the players as follows:
Course Handicap = ( TGSP x TP18H / TPSH ) – TP18H where: TGSP = Total Gross Strokes of the Players for the “Blind” or “Secret” holes TP18H = Total Par for 18 Holes TPSH = Total Par for Selected Holes
Once the course handicaps for players are determined, the number of gross strokes taken and points achieved for each hole, and the total for 18 holes, shall determine the ranking of players in the tournament, just like “Stableford” format.

| In the most unfortunate circumstance that it really rain... I hope the organizers can make the bunker babes stay under the rain until the game restarts... oh yes... not forgetting to make them wear translucent white tops and bottom... Well.... that's just me dreaming.... | |
