| Anybody been catching the action at the PGA Championship?
Watch Jason Dufner as he prepares for each shot and how waggles the golf club back and forth just before he sets it and takes it back. This little move is a great technique to ease a little tension and get a good feel for what should go on with the body, hands, and golf club, almost like a little rehersal of how you want to feel while deliver the golf club into the impact zone.
Ben Hogan was big on the waggle and even has a section on the waggle in his famous book. Five Lessons: The modern fundamentals of golf.
Give it a little waggle. See what happens.
I've been following Dufner's career for years (since he was on the Nationwide Tour) only because I know and used to play a little golf with his caddy Kevin Bale (who grew up at the Red Deer Golf & Country Club where I worked for 8 years). It was always cool to hang and play golf with Kevin because he had lots of great stories about life on the PGA Tour and lots of inside info and dirt on all the players. Who is a real a..hole, who is cool, who does this, and who does that. Plus, it's kinda to watch on TV and because they are leading and getting lots of coverage, say to my wife, "Hey I know that guy, Him, ya him, there he is, I know that guy, no not the golfer the guy carying his bag, him, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight there, that guy, him, I know him. She doesn't really care though.
Anyway, rooting for Dufner and caddy Kevin Bale.
Who you going for?
Also, a little shout out to my buddy Mitch Evanecz (who i mentioned in a post a couple of weeks ago) who shot a 36 hole score of 130 in last weeks US Amateur Qalifier somewhere in California. Don't care who you are or where you play, 130 is some good golf. Hope to see Mitch do some damage at the US Amateur.
Have a good day!

| But at times I feel that he waggles a little too much that is frustrating to watch. | |

| just like korean live game shows, keep repeating the key moments to keep the audience in suspence. Like if the guy is falling into water, they will show the scene just before he falls into the water 2 or 3 times over. also very frustraing and irritating | |

when he waggles, he cocks the club immediately and take it back to the inside. he doesnt actually do that on the actual back swing. when he's waggling, is he trying to feel/rehearse the downswing to impact or the back swing? | |
