| Anybody seen this telecast? I did ! I swear I will not step into the Philippines during my lifetime. What disappointing response from the Filipino Authorities, from Top to the Bottom. Really disgustingly amateurist. No wonder they caused the death of so many of the hostages. Just imagine the heads of the negotiating team, , like the Mayor, Generals and senior officers, who gives down the order of what to do, can go for dinner break and have a good time enjoying and laughing during their dinner, while the crisis were still out there. If you watch the amaturish manner in which they made so many attempts to get into the bus, you will be vomitting blood !!! Those who subscribed to Starhub can look out for repeat broadcast from History Channel 401. Don't miss it! I for one will swear that I will never ever travel to Philippines during my life time. titu PS : There are repeat telecast tomorrow 8 am, 4pm and Tuesday 11 pm, in fact everyday next week got repeat broadcast. Don;t miss it. You can judged how comedic, amateurish and ridiculous the attempts to rescue the hostages were.

Hi Justin. I really felt so sad for those who have lost their lives. They could have been save without anybody getting shot dead had the people in charge really knows their job. Worse part was they adjourned for their dinner break and were enjoying their dinner laughing all over while the situation outside their restaurant still goes unsolve.

| No wonder Hongkies were pissed. If they have taken the action seriously, the death of so many wouldn't be necessary. | |

There wouldn't be any death if it were handled properly. What he wants is just to reinstate his position. At this stage, the negotiators first priority is to save the hostages and so should just give in to him. Whether later they honour that promise can be settle later. WHAT THE FXXX !!!!

I lived/worked in Manila for more than a decade. It's actually a nice place with nice golf courses and nicer people. Thank goodness I have not had any run ins of bad experiences. It's these few bad apples that ruins the entire basket. I concur. The whole thing was managed really really badly. The hostage taker was apparently calm and friendly, but got pissed off when his demands were not met (and the demands were not exactly hard to meet). Sad as the whole world was watching the whole mismanagement episode.

Sad as the whole world was watching the whole mismanagement episode. Demands not met is one small issue. The main one is when the amateurish police swat teams made SEVERAL attempts to get into the bus like trying to break the windows of the bus starting from the back window which did not break and they tried another window slightly forward without success. If I am the hostage taker, how do you think I feel? With the first unsuccessful attempt, I am given time to think and react. Since I know they will kill me when they break into the bus, I might as well carry out my threat which in the end, with no where to go, he executed his threat. What a stupid team of Fxxx Up Swat team.!!!!!!!
