| I tried Jon's driver which was cut to 44" and was thinking of doing the same to promote more consistency....thoughts, anyone? Will be asking a clubfitter soon enough...
Jon, what was the loft on your driver?

Your drives on Friday (minus one or two miscues) were going miles and center fairway already

Was hitting it flush today!!! Woohoo! Nothing like flushing a 9 degree down the fairway - low penetrating rockets. Go Jon go!

| After today's game, will definitely go to BFG to check whether i can gain anything from a shorter shaft (mine's currently 45.75") with a lower loft...perhaps 9.5..... | |

GF... You can keep your 10.5 and either have a shorter golf shaft that is low launch or change to 9.5 with a high launch shaft Mine 9 Deg is coupled with a High Launch shaft... Even though it seems that i don't launch it that high On the trackman... it usually states that my launch angle is around 11-12 deg

| Jon drive will always go longer than yours Francis.
Just look at his mess, i mean mAss.
but if you want to try a different combination, you are encourage to do so. hopefully you have an experimental driver like him, otherwise it can be down and out if you are not use to the timing.

Mass isn't the issue....though, granted i have to be practically squatting before jon's belly putter reaches my own belly....it's the chicken legs.... Also, while i'm hoping for added distance, i'm just looking to square the clubface more consistently...right now, if i manage good contact on the ball, i can probably squeeze 210-220m but it takes incredible timing to be able to do that with a long shaft and it only happens on maybe 4/14 tee shots...otherwise it results in a weak fade and ends up 180-190m..... i shall make an appointment soon...but looking at 44.5" or 45" shaft...

| Experiment was an epic fail.....after my first real club fitting for my driver spending an hour trying different lenghts and flex....realised that there wasn't much difference from my current 45.75" old man shaft.....as much as i wanted to change, a young wise man at keppel suggested i keep my current shaft and then proceeded to hit a shot 45m further than mine (according to trackman) with my own club proving once again it's the singer, not the song........
And just to share my trackman readings: 7 iron Club speed: 80mph Smash factor: 1.38 Carry: 141m
Driver Club speed: 91mph Smash factor: 1.51 Carry: 193m

| Smash factor 1.51! That is capt low standard. Only he hits it 95-98mph And I saw him lifting weights while chatting at keppel. That's the difference lor how to teach speed? Call Rex for tuition... | |

| Hmmm......sounds like more tuition in the form of A.S.S game is needed then. But 1.51!!!!! Phew! You need personal trainer? I can help. Train you to tackle vietnamese minefields and booby.......traps. Best example of success here is Mizzy. | |

how to teach speed? Call Rex for tuition... True...I agree the swing speed is pathetic...the young archangel at keppel had a swing speed of 105mph with 235m carry.....what hope do the rest of us have????? Rex already gave me an expensive tuition lesson at Gardens.... haha..... though he was kind enough not to collect....
