Preacher says GOD has postphone doomsday date from 21 May to 21 Oct 2011.
I wonder why so many americans actually belive him. Perhaps his followers want it to come true...

| The only guy I know who can go to the future drives a delorean fueled by trash. Maybe he can shed some light...
The world will end oneday. But that day is around 1 to 5 billion years from now. That is when either the temperature of the sun increases enough to eliminate all of the water on the planet or the later in which at around 5 billion years the sun will have used all the energy (hydrogen)in it's core and start fusing other elements and enter the red giant phase. At that point the earth will be engulfed by the expanding sun.
So we have some time, that is unless we get nailed by an asteroid or comet big enough to mess things up.

| that is if we are not hit by one of those comets / asteroids or whatever gone off course pulled by sun gravity. Nothing you can do about it mate, so why bother. Better think about our golf swing, ball trajectory, how to sink those puts, you know things that you can do something about | |

But he (Camping the preacher) also said that he wouldn't give away all his possessions ahead of Oct 21.
"I still have to live in a house, I still have to drive a car," he said. "What would be the value of that? If it is Judgment Day why would I give it away?"
Camping offered no clues about Family Radio's finances Monday, saying he could not estimate how much had been spent on getting out his prediction nor how much money the nonprofit had taken in as a result. In 2009, the nonprofit reported in IRS filings that it received $18.3 million in donations, and had assets of more than $104 million, including $34 million in stocks or other publicly traded securities.
So, let me get this straight. He tells people the world was going to end, and gave a specific date. His believers give all their possessions away, mainly to him, presumably to repent for their sins and get included in the rapture. He himself however, does not believe in giving things away. If he believed the world was going to end by a date which has now passed, why does he hang on to the $104 million? Instead of an idiot, I think the preacher is a very very smart man. He has a product (his 'world's gonna end' message), which he sold very well. How many people, indeed, how many companies can come up with a product that can be monetized to $104 million? A very smart man, preying on the very gullible.

I meant he is an idiot for preying on people in the name of religion.
