| Hi,
I am re-locating to Singapore from the US within the month (as soon as my EP gets done). I have been lurking on this site since March, when I went there to visit my new project. Typical weekend hack. HCP 17. Looking to rip up some Singapore rough (never in the fairway). BTW, Is there a special discount on greens fee for not using the fairway?

| He is making a joke Iron Eagle... Basically just trying to say that since he is always in the rough... Does he get a chance to pay lesser green fees cos he doesn't utilise the fairways!
Which means less maintenance for the green keeper

| How long are you guys? It seems like everyone is carrying stf or X-stf shafts. The worst is playing with three bombers and it looks like you are laying up. | |

| hehe.. well if that is the case then I think you should just apply for a job to maintain the rough grass you might get your green fee waive but will only be able to play on certain time windows as the rest o fthe employee | |

The worst is playing with three bombers and it looks like you are laying up. No lah ... like in any golfing community, there is a mix of long hitters and not so long hitters. There are also guys (and gals) who are not long, but deadly straight and putt well. I personally play with very light (85gm) R flex steel shafts, and while I wish I could hit as far as the other guys, I'll just play with what I have and try to enjoy the game. However, it does make it more fun if you play off a tee that you can reach to green in regulation. If not, just take it that the course has a lot of Par 5s and you are getting great value for money.

| I switched over to graphite a few years ago and it did help me with my swing spped. At my age, my body doesn't turn like it used to. Plus, I hurt my back in the Navy almost 30 years ago and it started to bother me after 40. | |
