| to be frank, my 1st set is MIC...and till now, the set is still playable.
I can still hit a futther distance using that 7 iron compare to my current 7 iron...haha !!
I heard of many stories about how lousy is the set, shaft breaks but never have i encounter that before...but then again, respect the IP, get the real stuff if you are really serious about playing golf...

i lived there for a while, we would think that chinese made (export) stuff can be purchased cheaper onshore, but its not the case. All intl brands get slapped huge tax, golf is considered luxury and its very ex there.
Dunno abt tao bao, its in chinese. ting bu dong

| Strange. Why is it when we talk about (getting) stuff from China...it has to be fake? It wasn't what I wanted in the first place. hehehe... Just thought many stuff are made or assembled in China, so might be cheaper to get from there mah. Not to worry about shipping. Have one container coming in. hahaha | |

| Back to the topic, I found this website selling clone sets According to the website, Top brands like callaway, Taylormade go to China to make their sets (my burners also made china). What these guys do is to go to the same factory, ask them change the color of the heads and then buy. Same technology, same quality at a fraction of the price. http://golfclubsforeless.com/Iron%20Sets.htm What do you guys think? Worth the try? Good chance to get the same feel as the original at a fraction of the costs? This is the same as the house brands in NTUC. NTUC is not a sugar and cooking oil or tissue paper manufacturer. What they do is to go to the same manuafacturers and ask to repackage the same raw materials but because NTUC has zero marketing cost and lower distribution cost (no margin on shelf displays), the same product can be sold cheaper just because it is a house brand. Does this concept apply also to golf clubs? Any comments? I am tempted to try one set out. | |

Bro, I thought about this too about saving money by buying house brand - since it is all from the same factory. But if you look at the range of models and brands they can offer/clone, it shows that they are not the original OEM. Surely PING, Mizuno, TM, Callaway do not all go to the same factory right? That being said, if you can find the Real OEM manufacture for TM or Mizuno, Buzz me!
