| so here is Luke WITB......Question: Why he used Mizuno cover for his R9??? Could it be that he gotten the driver without cover....? So he quite diversified, so Titliest will say he is using PRoV, Cally will say he is using Ody, TM will say he find fairway becos R9....and Luke wears Mizuno visor......plus irons and wedges - Quote :

Will Mizzy complain??? I dun think so cos at most, Luke will just change sponsorship which i think there will be alot in line. If I am Mizzy, I will let Luke do whatever he wants to the bag as long as the majority of the items are from Mizuno cos he is the only the reputable one on the PGA. THe other being Charles Howell the 3rd.

I agree... accuracy and consistency made the difference. hmmm.....will need to review my strategy for my 2011 'SB' season tour..........should I try to gain additional 5m off my driver ??? Or should I learn how to improve my mid irons and wedges and putting?

If I am Mizzy, I will let Luke do whatever he wants to the bag as long as the majority of the items are from Mizuno cos he is the only the reputable one on the PGA. THe other being Charles Howell the 3rd. He is a primary staffer with Mizuno and most club deals are for x number of clubs from Mizuno, plus the visor, bag and whatever else is in the deal. There are a good amount of deals like that. Most guys out there like to have flexibility with regard to driver and putter, even wedges depending on the company. Ball contracts are typically separate from club, hat, shirt, and shoe deals. There are quite a few "paid" staffers who play a different driver or wedge or putter. It really just depends on the contract requirements that they agreed to. Hope that helps a little.

| It is weird especially in this day and age of the internet and access to pictures, it does not make sense that he would use a MIZ cover on his TM. But I think it has to do with the bag deal for each player. Tiger has a different deal as he has a Tiger on his driver and kiwi on his 3 wood. So it is really different for each pro.
I saw many pros at Pebble during the US Open that had x company headcover with a different driver underneath.
Just the way it is out there.

| @ Duval....yes I do have one. I got it the week I played at Doral. It is a great club..one that seems to always find its way back into the bag no matter what I try and replace it with. It is just less forgiving than most of todays fairway woods, but I would argue that it performs just as well.
That is the trade off. | |

- So which player was the company rooting for?

- On the surface the theoretical question would appear to be a no-brainer. Kaymer is a TaylorMade guy and as the new No. 1 he is someone the company can ride in terms of exposure for the brand. But fact is TaylorMade has pretty much bet the ranch on white clubs -- and the R11 in particular -- becoming popular. Company president and CEO Mark King even went so far as to recently tell Golf Digest the goal was "to make black drivers obsolete."

| None of the Top European players (except Graham McDowell) has won a major. Now the question is, are they worthy to be at the top of the ranking? | |
