| Looking to pick up some irons to practice, narrow down my choices of club model, but having some difficulty determining what type of shaft and flex that would best suit myself. Any advice as to which type of flex suits beginners more, stiff or regular in steel shafts. | |

| depends on how fast you swing actually....
i started off with stiff steel when i first started as my coach advise me not to take graphite.
Think your pro should be able to advise you base on how you swing

| yes you do! and i know how you feel mate.. i'd love to be able to make a static decision about which shaft and flex to go for but it's all about trying it out first hand. i always thought i had a slow swing speed so naturally i needed graphite. but turns out i tried a friend's mizzy club with NSpro S flex shafts and it suited me better and i felt i was more in control of my ball. so on choice! go and try until you're sure! haha | |

| There should be a steel shaft to cater to all kinds of swing speeds.
I have seen kids and ladies using steel-shafted irons as well..
