MBGC revised charges..sigh !!

Saw e-mail send from MGGC about charges revised...

Sigh. Less golf liao. OCC aso increase the golf pass price even though I don't play there often.

aiyah not surprising...I remember when they first started....something like 50-60 per game (all in)

I can guess....next thing, they sub out the parking lot to Wilson....hahahahah.....

then next....if one hit ball too far...extra charge coz use more petrol/battery to retrieve.....

MBGC is becoming ridiculous and they started it off by adding GST to everything. what with the increase in fees, I am voting with my feet and not returning there. Besides, the course has been going down hill for a while now.

Anyone intending or attending the SIA Cup on 16 May 2010 @ MBGC?

I play yesterday n green was good , better than usual .... what is the sia cup ? if i can join i will ....

still cheap for a fairly decent course... just imagine when park is complete and the resorts start booking tee off times for their high rollers and rich tourist......

For poor people like me who has to feed this unquenchable thirst for golf, even with this increase in fee, though heart pain, still relatively speaking is cheaper than any other course in Singapore. But for rich people like you who has private clubs to run to, don't have to even play such 'cheapo' course right?? Just don't play there lor.

when that happens, price increase again... doesnt speak well of them to charge these high rollers this type of 'cheapo' prices, rite?

unfortunately because of the swing test 'loophole' MBGC will be filled with cash rich tourist and overseas players, with the resorts paying the advance fees and book the tee times well ahead of time (we all wait until 5 days left)

in the end we will be left with JB courses to play in, even during weekdays

I will luv too...but....my current std of play is approx SGD 1.35 per shot.......Therefore to play at TMCC @ SGD180.....I hv to play to a score of 128 or more........which is very tough for me...

Hi Darren, for Sing180 I can play 6 games in JB easily on weekdays. Poor people like me can't afford to pay this much unless it is a special ocassion.

Marina bay doesnt seem to be as crowded as before.

I have always felt that they behaved like school principals. You must do this. You must do that.

Pay GST on this. Online booking must pay extra. Book in advance must pay more. Basically they put in charges on almost everything. Wasnt it meant to be a public course for the masses to enjoy?

Like Titu, I have also voted not to play there unless I have to. Not like the course very nice and/or cheap.

NB Wa soo liao ma. You also member of some club. I have to play public course. I hear you complain this course no good, that course no good. Cow grass la,... for me no such luxury to complain about cow grass. Got ground to hit ball good enough liao. My 'nearly' home club is Daiman 18, cow grass territory, your home club is Starhill. Totally different class lor. So cannot blame for being second grade player lor As long as got 18 holes for me to aim at, I am happy liao. Like a nomad, just turn up at a public course and hope can join in flight, price at their mercy But forget all these la. Next time we play you give me 5 - 5 okie?

I am pretty sure... in future the course will be deemed unaccessible by the public, RWS is watching these discussion

Who knows as of now... they already start the discussion about tying up with MBGC

MBGC will probably be used by IRs for high rollers.
But if I am the PR or marketing arm of IRs, I'd look at sentosa for VVIPs and 'whales' i.e super high rollers.

No way high rollers will want to play at MBGC.....

Some guys I know were flown by private jet from Vegas to Pebble beach, played a round, and flown back all in the same day.

All paid for by a particular casino....

So u can imagine RWS or MBS could easily get the high rollers a flight at Sentosa etc.....

emmm... all they need is just get one of the IR to give them the moolah... the course can be turn to a be the best course in SG.

& the moolah could b used to squeeze out the best of Sex Addict expertise...
