wrists and forearms are the same...

u can carry weights or anything that is heavy enough, palm facing up and try to bring the finger towards ur wrists.

for the other side of the forearm, palm face down and try to bring the knuckles towards the sky

sorry to hijack the thread from RSC, but i thot it may not be advisable to focus on the forearm and wrist specifically... may end up too wristy and not swinging fully...

best to build up the entire swing core, and correspondingly, the forearm and wrist will be strengthened...

tip: ask those pple who hv bought the IS to lend you the powerfan.... 8-P

Hi kopiO,

Thanks for the tip. You're right, I probably need alot more help than just focus on wrists and forearms. Haha. Just went to the range and No... Anyway, advice is always greatly appreciated! Smile

Hi RSC,

may I ask if you have any advice on the types of exercises to help build up the strength in wrists and forearms for a more effective swing? Smile

Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have taken a small part of a Gary Edwin video about increasing wrist and forearm strength. There is more to the video than here but it should give you a good place to start. Do the first exercise with a short club, i.e putter or grip down on a s/w. The strength in the wrists and forearms is a big bonus to being able to increase arm speed and ultimately your distance and impact. If you want anymore info PM me.

Hi CCC,

I saw your drives yesterday, you're good! Must train up then one day can play together with you guys without having to worry about being too slow. I mean you guys take one shot, I think I take a zillion shots to catch up. Haha. Laughing Ask S70B... he'll know what I mean. ROFL

Mrs Chio S70B, don't worry about the strokes for now, we've all experienced that especially when S70B does his 280m drives and have his hamburger while we take our 3rd shot. Just enjoy the game for now and hope the lot get together a round before Mr. Rotorhead leaves.

Mate, just go down to Serangoon Road this weekend and follow the beautiful scent of coconut oil in the air. If it leads you to Komala, order the Masala Dosai. If it wiff leads you to a mama shop, ask for the Men Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Tonic. Don't try any other tonics Muthu try to sell you, however tempting. The X stiff he says is not referring to True Temper DG.

have problem with swing..... need help badly.....

anything above pitching wedge, i loses contact....

goin thru some swing changes (to have a better take away n back swing) recently and found tht i am not hitting the balls crisps...even when contacts are not bad, i can feel the club head opens... (ball goin straight and slice towards the last part, or pushed all the way to my left... i m a leftie)

i am not too sure is it due to the swing change tht i tends to swing down too steep and from the outside...

any drills to help to swing more from the inside or prevent to swing from the outside?

**anyway i can only try out weeks later... Sad but appreciate some advises) Smile

This is fairly easy...

Instead of standing square to your target line, make sure your feet, knees, hips and shoulders are aligned 45 degrees to the right of your target while your clubface points to your target. Make sure you grip the club with your normal grip else the whole drill is futile.

Swing along your feet, which I call the 430 line - 12 o clock being where you are facing and 6 o clock where your feet are - hit slow and short shots and over time keep shifting your alignment back to square.

Swinging this way opens up a passage for your arms to come through from the 430 line...impossible to slice this way. Here, look at Gary Player...
