| Hi,
I gotten injured with strained hamstring during lastnight's soccer game, and is now walking with a limp.
However, I have a golf game tmr. Should I proceed? Will I aggravate it further if I proceed?
Thanks in advance. I'm kinda sad now cause it's my 1st game after almost a year off..
P.S. Sorry for the odd qn. But this is the 1st time I pulled my hamstring after so many years of exercising..

oh, the funny thing is, i've been living with heel spur for a long long time. Can understand how you feel... No absolute cure unless you stop strenous exercise completely, according to the specialist I saw.

| Think better not risk it. The last time I went ahead with game even though my ribs were painful. Ended up aggravting it, and had to stop for 3+ months for it to heal. | |

| i am having strained hamstring too for many weeks. Can it really recover by itself with rest? Or must I visit a physio or some doc to get it access?
I have stopped exercising for a month but it still feels funny. Disappointing!
Thanks for all feedback and advice.

| realized the physio helped me with 3 things: 1) therapy (hand spot massage and equipments like ultrasonic, electrical vibrations) 2) education (eg which part to stretch and how/when, which part to tape up, what to do before and after game, when to ice) 3) support stuff eg (proper insole for my feet, supported slippers)
am sure they hv a lot more....

my physiotherapist said if injured part like hand which u can intentionally use less, it can be less aggravated and heal over time. but for body parts like back, leg and foot, have to use all the time and keep getting aggravated, therefore, therapy will help heal faster.
