| Go Tiger!
Actually, I don't think I'm a tiger fan, but just seeing him grinding it out and trying to reach back to where he has fallen off makes me wanna root for him.

| After a mild day 1, players scoring up to 6 under, the Pete Dye course began to bite back on day 2, and it did so with a vengeance. The wind started howling at 30 mph, and suddenly, a friendly course wasn't so friendly anymore. To compound matters, the grass used does not really allow the ball to run on the fairways that much, so playing it links style hitting low running shots to avoid the wind isn't a viable option. GMac called it links style golf in the air, because you are forced to confront the wind. The highest score on day 1 was 84, carded by one player. On day 2, it was 93, 9 shots worse. Two of the club pros, meaning they play on this course all the time, shot in the 90s. More than 30 players failed to break 80, including Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar and Hunter Mahan. Only 4 players broke par. Singh, a three-time major champion who hasn't won in nearly four years, scratched out five birdies in a remarkable round of 3-under 69. Only three other players managed to break par in the second round -- Michael Hoey of Northern Ireland at 70, and Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ian Poulter at 71. It's conditions like these that separate the men from the boys in terms of shot control in the wind. It was amazing to watch Shot Tracker of Tiger's shots into the wind and watch it curl back to the target. Here's how the distribution of the scores were affected by the 30 mph wind. | |

| I would like TW to win, and the whole world know how desperate he is to win the next major. But, whether the time is now, i am not sure. He did well in rd1 and rd2. Every shot in his arsenal. Said Keegan Bradley “It was one of the best rounds I have ever seen.”
But if u trace back his records in the past 3 majors; he collapsed on day 3 & 4. It's not the field, it's not the high winds, it's the 5 inches between his ear that will determine the outcome.
Honestly, i would prefer him to go into the final rd 2 or 3 shots behind the leader. I believe he would perform better under such situation.
Going into final rd as leader, he may play defensively and over-carefully that may lead to mistakes.
Just my personal analysis!
Let's see! | |

| Most welcome guys.
The wind added something like 5 to 6 strokes to par.
I thought GMac would be able to handle the wind, but he shot 4 over.
Another factor is the grass used, paspalum. McIlroy, who practiced often on this type of grass did slightly better than GMac, shooting 3 over. Many pros, including Luke Donald, have not even played on this type of grass before. Luke shot +2 on day 1 when conditions were mild, and +4 yesterday in the wind.

| Conditions are windy today, but not as bad as day 2.
VJ made birdie on hole 1, he is now the sole leader.
Meanwhile, Rory is about to climb a tree. His ball hit a dead tree and got stuck in a branch.

| it's Adam's turn. He's playing to win, not to lose the lead.
Over 40 is the new prime in golf is it? How come vj suddenly play so good?

| That might explain young Ishikawa's +7.
But Rory's young too, and his paspalum practice experience is beginning to show, at -4 for the day before play was suspended, tied w VJ for the lead.
Psychologically well-adjusted Adam Scott did well too, forgetting his Open meltdown, -4 to climb up 4 positions to 3rd place,
Keep an eye on Bo Van Pelt, who managed to complete the round before weather suspension, lowest round at -5, moving up a whopping 19 position to T5.
Petterson is struggling a bit, even so far, hanging on at 4th position.
But talk about struggling, Tiger seems to have lost his day 2 wind and green speed touch, +3, dropping 10 places to T11 as at hole 7 when the weather hit. So the suspension was probably a lucky break for him to go and fix whatever is going wrong.
Lets see what happens as play resumes.
