| of course one would argue that it not #1, but having a 2nd place and 3rd place finishing at the Barclays last weekend speaks volume about the product.
Here's what Aerotech has to say.....
SteelFiber Shafts Bag Second- and Third-Place at Barclays Providing the stability of steel and the power of graphite, Aerotech Golf’s No. 1-selling SteelFiber shafts claimed second- and third-place at The Barclays Championship, held this weekend at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J.
The second- and third-place money winners played Aerotech SteelFiber i95 composite iron shafts to collect more than $1.3 million in earnings. Flirting with a coveted score of 59, one SteelFiber player shot a 10-under 61 on Saturday, setting the course record and tying for the lowest round of his career.
“Last year, SteelFiber shafts were in the irons of the No. 1 player on the PGA TOUR money list, and we’re excited to see more pros this season enjoying the feel and performance benefits of our composite technology. Through our unique combination of micro-thin steel fibers and high-modulus graphite core, SteelFiber shafts reduce fatigue, provide greater vibration dampening and increase clubhead speed, while at the same time deliver the stability and accuracy of steel,” said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary.
Aerotech Golf’s SteelFiber shafts were in the irons of the No. 1 player on the 2010 PGA TOUR Money List, No.1 in Scoring Average, No. 1 in All-Around ranking, No. 1 in number of Top 10 finishes and No. 2 in FedExCup standings.
SteelFiber shafts deliver extreme performance through composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. While the shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy. Aerotech’s SteelFiber technology is available in 75-, 85-, 95-, 110- and 125-gram iron shaft models as well as performance enhancing designs for hybrids, fairway woods and drivers.
Aerotech Golf is renowned for its high-performance shaft designs and innovation in composite engineering. Aerotech Golf specializes in uniquely engineered, performance-enhancing golf shafts, and has has supplied shafts to such renowned golf club manufactures as Nike Golf, Cleveland Golf, Adams Golf, Miura, Srixon, Lynx, Nakashima, Scratch Golf, Zevo and Pure Spin among many others.
Anyone knows who are the golfers currently on Aerotech besides Matt?

| yes but the demo set is now with me in you know where...back this weekend.
Panji. lets say its not Vijay Singh. BS is using it for the first time..so its really not bad. apparently he likes the stability, workability and the extra distance.

| if 4-P changed to Aerotech Steel Fibre, will it create a big gap in distance between the PW and the 52* which is on Spinner shaft? | |

| SF comes in i70, i 80, i95, i99 (players specs), i110 and i125.
we have built set in different configurations to take into account MOI matching as well.
having said that do not be fooled by the world graphite. it has 59 miles of steel fiber running round the graphite core shaft.

| First time i laid eyes on the Aerotechs was when i was playing with Master Slinger. And seriously i know nothing about it till Master explained to me on the technology behind it. Naturally it got me curious. But it did not cross my mind about changing till i broke my 8 iron, now i have an excuse for the additional purchase. Went to BFG to have it done up and it was fantastic. | |
