| I am thinking of getting the mp53s, anyone here playing with em? I have tried the mp58s off a friend and they were awesome and buttery to hit.. just wondering how these two compare? personal views on looks and feel i know the 58s are musclebacks while the 53s are cavity backs.. thus 53s are more forgiving? | |

hmmmm general feel.. 58s feels more compact and easier to control due to the weight distribution. the 53s are good set when you are having a bad irons day cos its ver forgiving. what works for me is the thin top line even the AP2 that i have does not have that thin top line..

| well, if you are not swinging that well, i would suggest you look at the 52's
i've got 52, 53, 58, 63 and 68 and when i need confidence, i go with my 52's still... plus they're really affordable now... i think its like 900+ for a set...

| if you can strike it well, the 58...
but it you are not striking it well, the 52...
the 53 is forgiving please do not be mistaken... but it is not 400 more forgiving than the 52...
so if budget is a concern, get the 52... if budget is not of concern, get 53...
personally, i like the 52, but i am so damn hiao when it comes to my clubs, everything has to match and be nice and new... but my 4 iron is always my mp52, so that should give you a hint as to how forgiving it truly is

| Got a combo, 58 in the long irons and 68 in the short irons. Regretted it, should have gone 68 all the way. The 68s feels much more solid and softer...
As for easy to use, they are much the same. The 58s are not any more easier to hit than the blade 68s, IMO.

| Ami I? Good golfer or not, I think feel is still the same. If anything, it'll be down to personal preference. I heard you are getting good yourself, Sham. We should go for a game on my next trip. | |
