Anyway, when do you think is the right time to go for club fittings?

A good club fitter with good marketing skills will put you down gently and at the same time entice you to keep coming in to 'monitor your progress' and at the same time get you to buy the little trinkets lying around out of your own free will.

Agreed, and since BFG have opened their branch in Indo, I was thinking to give them a visit someday....when everything (skills + account) is ready.

Only hear nothing but a praise about them. and I like their logo

=D

Anyway, I'm from Indo, and by saying that its not a well known is that you can't easily find them in a big retail store....a maybe only 1 out of 20 players who have Maruman in their bag, most likely the wood.

btw u said u go to the range 4-5 times a week.. note of caution: dont overexert yourself.. body muscles oso needs rest and recovery.. one of my frens hit too many balls at range, maybe also hit too hard (perhaps wrongly too) and now is on 4-6 weeks forced rest for his shoulder to recover...remember once injured, there is always the tendency for reoccurence at the worst possible time of ur golfing life....

Hi Jeff, kabar baik!! how are you? =D
remember our discussion on the driver? I decided to buy the Epon, the one with the lady like shaft....hehehe....been enjoying it so far.

Speaking of injuries, yes I've been having this trigger finger thing in my left pinky for 2 to 3 weeks. Been to physiotherpaist and also to a orthopedic specialist, but no success so far.

The strange part is that after a round of drive, I can move my pinky freely, but after several hours, the trigger finger came back. I think I need to revisit the doctor.

I will visit Singapore in December, willl try to find the Ogio silencer there...have you got yours?

Cheers

Maruman is a pretty famous brand from Japan. People know that it's an expensive brand. I know because I once searched for a hybrid under Maruman. It's selling for $300 SGD (pretty high for a hybrid).

I think if you are just beginning to play golf you should stick to what you have until you have a "developed" swing.

When you have a developed swing, you go take a custom fitting and from there decide what kind of golf club and shaft you should use.

makes me think back of those times when i start playing buying gear more than training, maybe best way is to stop looking into other peoples gear and concentrate on own swing first.. just my 2cents worth.. Very Happy

cheers

hi MC, i got your point. but generally over here, they got commission for every item they sell. so it is like salesman. thats why i have this thought that he's trying to sell me something so he can get some commission from his boss. whereas if he only do fitting, he wont get anything. or perhaps get less than what he sells.

Audi, that one I don't know and can't say because I do not know who you are talking about. Basically it's up to your trust in him at the end of the day.
