URGENT: Partner needed for MBGC Tournament on Feb 21

My intended partner is out of the country for work ... and will not make it back in time for the tournament this Tuesday Feb 21 at MBGC

anyone here interested? I know I can't be choosy given its a last minute thing ... but prefer anyone with handicap approx. between the 15 - 20 range ... this is due to the format of the tournament ... two man scramble ... so that both players get a chance to shine!

Two-Man Team Scramble (Player A and Player B)

1. Player A and B both tee off.
2. The best tee shot is selected and mark the position of the ball, while the other player shall pick up his/her ball and gather at the selected ball.
3. Both players then drop the balls and play from that position.
4. Then, the best shot from the two is chosen and player mark the position of the ball, while the other player shall pick up his/her ball and gather at the selected ball.
5. This process continues until any member of the team holes out.

Sounds incredibly exciting ... and teeing off from white tees means attacking the par 5s in two and the short par 4s in one !!!

Is the scoring stable ford or gross? No handicaps?

All competitors shall submit GROSS score only (One scorecard entry per team).

The Team handicap will be calculated by taking 75% of the lower handicap and 25% of the higher handicap team member respectively.

Trophy and Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams with the lowest scramble NETT score.

Wah! My 1st champions trophy. Glad to know we didn't let GR down. Me and tourswing shot a combined score of 69 (my 2nd favorite number) to emerge victorious. I must say scramble format is very enjoyable. It's like getting a mulligan on every shot.

Anyway tourswing even more shiok cos he won 2nd prize lucky draw ALSO!!! Titleist lightweight cart bag!

Best part is individually I think we both would've struggled to shoot below 90. But managed to combine for 5 birds and 2 bogeys! Our combined handicap meant a nett score of 49!!!!!! And we only won by countback.

Thanks tourswing for pulling me in at the last moment to taste my 1st victory in golf.

there was bit of boo boo when the net 49 score was announced. but the fact that we only won by countback means this format is really for mid-high handicappers to shine.

our gross 69 was only 2nd to another low handicap team which shot 68. i suppose we really got an advantage here cos even if 2 really good players came in at 5-6 under par, their combined handicap would be much lower than ours.
