PostSubject: Difference between 0.335 and 0.35 tip?   Difference between 0.335 and 0.35 tip? I_icon_minitimeTue Aug 18, 2009 1:44 am

Hi guys,

Was thinking of getting a spare shaft for the R9 driver.
There's two type of dimension for the sleeve adapter, 0.335 and 0.35.
Is there any difference among the two, in term of performance? maybe like stiffness?

most TM retail models are .350 and TP are .335 inch. translated, its roughly .85 cm in diameter (.335 inch) and .90 cm (.350). For the R9 drivers, we can use either the retail hosel slevee adaptor (.350) or the TP hosel slevee adaptor (.335).

is there a difference if we use a .335 shaft with either adpator, i personally think there is no difference.

however the .335 is usually the choice on tour because it allows the shaft manufacturer to pack lower torque with the same amount of shaft layers. this also makes it easier to achieve a stiffer tip.

can you install a .335 shaft in a .350 hosel, the answer is yes we can. can we put a .350 shaft in a .335 hosel, the answer is no, its not recommended.

hope this helps, Ebay

seems like the 0.35 is more versatile and suitable.

Thank you, Eric
