QOP Fund Raising Golf Tournament 2010

The St Vincent de Paul Society in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace will be organising the QOP Fund raising Golf Tournament 2010 on Friday, 29 October 2010 at National Service Resort and Country Club Kranji Course.

Mr Matthias Yao Chih, Mayor of South East District, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for MacPherson has agreed to be the Guest-of-Honour.

The objective of this golf tournament is to raise funds to help build a home for children infected with HIV in the villages of Mac Thuong, Dong Chiem and Xuyza in Hanoi, Vietnam. Besides being able to provide shelter and administer aid to these children, the home will act as a hospital that is equipped with trained care-givers, food, medicine and equipment. In addition to this, the Home will also be used to train young girls in other self-help projects to prevent them from going into the cities and be susceptible to vice trades.
