| I own a Callaway driver which I love it very much. I am pretty weak in term of strength and my driver shaft is S.
At first I thought S = senior which I happily buy the driver (don't laugh at my silly action leh. hehe)
Anyway, later I found out it means stiff. My buddy was telling me maybe I can consider changing the shaft to senior since my strength is not quick and not strong and not fast enough (which I quite agree).
So, my question is - is change the shaft an expensive experience? I saw the posting about fitter which can help, but is it ex? Any help is appreciated.

| Depends on the type and brand of the shaft you change to! Visit BFG, they have various shafts available ! | |

| Recently I bgt a stiff shaft when I wanted regular. Wanted to sell the brand new set here. But after a week of no takers, I decided to keep the set for myself and use it. No regrets since.
Nonetheless, golf is a mental game. If you think changing shaft can help you, by all means. Otherwise try optimising your swing. You might be surprised that stiff is not so bad after all.

| Depending on brand and model. Anyway the r, s, x does not mean a lot it's more of the cpm which determine the flex. | |

| Changing shaft is like changing car. Different car, different price, different performance. If you are willing to explore, there is bound to be one that suits your swing and pocket. | |

| Frankly speaking. Most aftermarket.shafts cost more than 150 and the performance improvement is.marginal at most. Ask yourself.if it.is worth it before jumping in. | |

| If can learn to change the shafts yourself it will be cheaper. But of course you have to do it correctly and with the proper equipments. Wonder if there is a course to learn this skill. Can treat as hobby, | |

Cheaper? U must remember that u not only pay for shaft. Grips, ferrules, epoxy, tapes and etc all these need to buy as well. Hobbies ok but if u just wanna change one, forget it.

| If you have decided you indeed want to change shaft, suggest you see a fitter for advice so you can get 1 that suits your budget. Importantly, the fitter will be able to suggest something that suits your swing profile, taking into consideration the anticipated changes as you improve. This beats trial & error or DIY - which can be more expensive in the long run (unless it's your hobby). There are experienced golfers in GR who knows exactly the type of shafts that suits them (down to the CPM), so you may want to check with them how they get to this. | |
