Mervyn Tan - Overcoming high obstacle on play (Lob Shot)


Khor - Lower body stays more firm, both arms fully extend after impact


Mervin Chui - Readdressing setup position and both arms fully extend


Issac - Both arms full extend to create faster club head speed

u have a sharp eye, u are right - before and after are reverse pivot.
anyway, evelynn is a fast learner, she took 15mins and less than 20 balls to achieve from B swing to A swing. I believe evelynn knows where she needs to focus to improve.

So how do you correct a reverse pivot?

Hi Noonan,

You have brought up a very good question. There are a lot of golfers that are suffering form this problem as well. The cause of reverse pivot could be various reasons eg swing technique, body coordination, flexibility, equipments or mental state.

Mine quick fix suggestion to reduce this problem would be to shorten your back swing. But for a long-term fix, I would suggest you get a coach to assess what is the root cause in order to correct the problem

Here is Francis Koh (agumon) new swing, after just 2 hours of instruction.



Francis was able to have a full shoulder turn with good power and managed to get good impact after just 2 hour session.

Here is Mervyn Tan's new swing.

Mervyn Tan has got a good and stable base during his swing, after impact, both hands are fully extended to the target and has a smooth follow-through.

Very nice... Mervyn ... left leg so stable.... now with smooth swing and smooth skin... what a combination..

doesnt matter what he is teaching, he is not teaching any swing philosophy or anything that is the latest fad.

tendy is merely teaching how to hit the ball well and play the golf game. i am sure there are many other coaches that teaches golf swing, but i think i rather go to the coach that teaches how to play the golf game.
