This is going to be interesting. Any of the 30 players in the field can win this.

Can you imagine how much stress and tension there'd be knowing that one putt will win or lose you USD10mil??

These guys work under pressure all the time. Besides, to many of them, US$10m isn't the most important thing but perhaps the prestige, exemptions etc which follow.

USD10 mil isn't exactly pocket change, even to Tiger... contrary to what the article says

I think Phil did this to make us amateurs feel better ....

Phil Mickelson makes snowman at Tour Championship

ATLANTA (AP) — Phil Mickelson spent part of last week working with putting specialist and former PGA champion Dave Stockton, and he got off to a reasonable start Thursday in the Tour Championship.

His only mistake was a big one. Mickelson took a quadruple-bogey 8 on the 14th hole and wound up with a 73.

More disturbing than the snowman on his scorecard was that Mickelson had only 123 yards to the green from the middle of the fairway. He pulled it into the bunker, then blasted it over the green. His four shot went across the green and back into the bunker, and from there it took him two shots to get out. Then came two putts and an 8, and that was that.

Mickelson was in good spirits when he finished. He declined a brief interview with reporters, looking at them and saying with a smile, "You guys don't need me, do you? I'm in last place."

No one minded, and Mickelson headed to the railing and signed autographs.

The only difference between him and us mortal folks - it happens to him once in 5 yrs, but it happens to us once in 5 holes.

Cink did it yesterday. Hit 2 balls OB. Guess the square driver isn't so straight either.

WTF?? Didn't follow the results for 2 days and Mickelson won it??... Wow!!

Yup, but the biggest winner is still the 2nd time Fedex Cup owner.
