Guess you are not familiar with multiple world record pole vaulter Sergei Bubka. He knows his ability and how high a jump he can clear, which is streets ahead of everyone else. But he cleverly set a new world record everytime he competed by just notching it up by 1cm every time. If someone else breaks his record, he takes it back the next time. This way, he always reigned supreme and never had to tax himself each time he set out to compete. And he was always in the news, seemingly unbeatable. Damn good way to MF his opponents too. All part of the plan. | |
