| Folks, can someone please elaborate on the difference(s) between the MX-200 and MP-57? From what I know, the MX-200 are game improvement irons with high ball flight and lots of forgiveness, but lacking in distance. The MP-57, on the other hand, are more "player irons" with increased distance but a little less forgiveness. The MX-200 is also more expensive than the MP-57, though both are in equally high demand. If anyone has had the opportunity to try both, do share your thoughts Mizunos are yummy! | |

| I am not a real tech person in terms of analysing the golf equipment...but one clear thing I note is that for MX200 ..the 5-iron and lower...it looks abit like uitility clubs...big sole....even worst for MX100.
But then again, that is why one is super duper forgiving and the other is just super forgiving....i suppose....

| The MP57s look nicer than the MX200s. They look more fierce too. | |

... and so, less forgiving. Cavity back irons have a bigger sweet spot but not enough distance.

| i'll take sunny's two (double) post
i would say heng, mc, u are rich.
anyway.. the difference to me between mx200 and 57 would be their playability. it might not be true that mp57 is longer per se, it all depends on the loft and length of a particular iron you are comparing. for example i used to play syard and with eric's loft and length check, my 7 iron actually bears the length and loft of a 6 iron or something to that effect. which makes pple feel that wow "ur 7 iron go so far?"
if u are asking because u are choosing between ur purchases, then i would say go for functional reasons first, like if you are a beginner to intermediate skilled player, still working on the swing blah blah then go for game improvement, ie mx200.
if you think you are somewhat in between or better, and more or less have consistent shot making skills then go for mp57.
to me looks are important, but they are secondary.
machiam choose wife like that. haha

| i thot MX-200 is the next-in-line replacement for MX-25, i.e. cavity back...
MP-57 is half muscle-back, half blade...
MX is a different series from MP, cant remember what they stands for liow... but from MP57/60 and MX19/25, you can guess the intended market. so, you have to answered that question first, for your choice.

| I think the MP series is meant for good ball strikers. The MP-67 is more difficult than the MP-57, but both are great irons if you can strike the ball well. | |

| one thing abt the mx200s as was already mentioned, the long irons have huge fat soles. well not to the point that it looks like a hybrid, but big enough for it to stick out at address. that's the one thing, if i had to nitpick, abt these babies that i don't like. other than that, with my current inconsistency and lack of concentration, they work perfectly for me. if that's really too much forgiveness for you, and the mp-57 is too difficult to play, then wait for the mx300 lor! haha it's a bridge set between those two models! keep thinking abt mizzys right t'spaz! feeling damn itchy right! mwahaha | |

| Actually, I'm liking my X-20s more and more. I really need to work on my swing and less on my credit-card swiping abilities. | |

| If I read correctly, all the MX are made in China, and the MP has a mix of made in Japan and China. For me, if given a choice of MX/MP irons with similar playability, I would go for MP mainly I believe the Japan made would have better QC. Also, I kinda find that the MX set tends to drop price faster than MP set @ GH... | |

Also, I kinda find that the MX set tends to drop price faster than MP set @ GH... interesting decision criteria.....for me, price is one thing, but which is more suitable for my std.....my kind of std, the more forgiving the better.....I am on the verge of chaging driver to Bro Techno liao...

| MX series for game improvement.. MP series for game enhancement (ie for those with "itchy backside".. trying to mk the game more challenging).. | |

| Today I went to look at golf clubs (yes, again..hahaha ) Took a look at the mizuno's and was slightly surprised that the MX300 are cheaper than the MX200. I thought the MX300 were the newer version of the MX200 until I just checked the Mizuno website... Interesting... on the numbering; wonder if it's confusing for those who don't check websites/forums and if the sales ppl actually know the difference.. | |

| SS, I thought that mx300 has slightly closer resemblance to mp. I guess, Mizzy just want to close the gaps of the ranges and offer more value. There is a lot of interest for mx-200. | |
