| Need some advice here. I'm a newbie to golf and are using a Cobra old set. Saw the Cobra S2 set and a bit confused in the different models they have.
What's the difference between the 3:-
- S2 - S2 Max - S2 Forged
What's the recommendation for a newbie like me?

Thanks Aloyboy. So which model of you recommend if I "intend" to use the set for some time? I have no problems hitting the ball straight but the ball does not travel far.

I have no problems hitting the ball straight but the ball does not travel far. U can try S3 if you've got budget. S2 is the older model. Go for the forged and slowly train if you intend to use the set for long time.

| well... it all comes down to which u can handle. u need to try the club in a range and hit 50-100 balls to have a feel of the club...
like u said, u are hitting straight but not far.. which could be that ure not hitting the sweet spot.. so if u get a less forgiving club, it might affect ur distance more...
if i were u , id get the new s3 irons.. go down to 1 of the driving range who has a demo club and give it a go... i know bishan has one.. i tried the s3 pro there.. very nice feel...

| Welcome to the Cobby world my friend. As u can see from my signature, I'm using the S2 Max. Yes like Aloyboy said it is for beginner like us. I'd just started for almost a year.
When I was deciding back then, I was deciding between S2 Forged and S2 Max. The former, being forged, gave me a better feel, however at a higher price. Between 1.4K n 1K, I chose the latter. Mine is a US set as SG did not have the configuration that I wanted; i.e 3h,4h,5-P.
I'd not tried the S3 yet but I'm sure they will give me as good, if not better feel If u r keen, I do not mind selling off my set Feel free to pm me to discuss
Enjoy ur journey! | |

Enjoy ur journey! Hi Batman, I have reached the limit to do PM. What's the shaft you are using? I prefer steel. Anyway I saw the Hybrid set at Far East Shopping Center the other day. Seems that they having offer for the S2. New set is going at $450. How much you willing to let go? Can you PM me instead?

| Hi,
i am using the S2 forged for quite a while already. it is mine 4th set since i started golf 3 years back. never into forged until this S2 series and i can tell you, you dun need to be a good player to be able to handle this set.
gives me superb accuracy and distance. in terms of feel wise, it is comparable to the mizzy.
you might want to give it a try if you are intending to use it for sometime....
